It's always exciting when a great racing series releases its next title, and for fans of the Project Gotham series, it's time to get out the 360 and take it for a spin with Project Gotham Racing 4. Developers have expanded the series with some big upgrades and additions to make sure that PGR 4 remains fresh and fun, and avoids becoming a boring retread of the last title.

The PGR 4 developers made it possible for gamers to drive and own some of the most iconic cars ever made like the '93 Toyota Supra Turbo, the '78 Lamborghini Countach LP400, the '57 Maserati 250F and even newer cars like the '06 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. Plus, as a brand-new addition to the series, gamers have the option of racing motorcycles from top manufacturers such as BMW, Ducati and Honda. Motorcycles can be raced against other motorcycles, or gamers can go for it and mix it up by racing against vehicles, too. PGR's unique Kudos system returns to reward players for not only winning races, but for excellent driving skills and slick moves. Long drifts, catching air or holding that wheelie leads to big rewards like worldwide recognition, better garages and unique races.

Racing in perfect conditions is great, but not always "realistic," so to up the ante a bit, developers included weather conditions and day/night racing to the mix. It's not enough to master Nurburgering on a dry track, how about if it's raining or if it's covered in snow and ice? City streets can look completely different at night, and shadows, lights and wet streets can trip up the best of drivers so staying at the top of the driving game takes practice. Xbox Live always offers some of the greatest online gaming, and PGR 4 offers great opportunities to build a racing team or to go it alone for personal glory. Project Gotham Racing 4 keeps the series alive and exciting by continuing to push the game in new directions to give gamers a lot to be happy about.

Marcel Lech used to think 450 hp was all he needed to enjoy his Supra. Instead, he ended up with nearly 1,000 hp that, at best, gets used, weather permitting, only a few of days and just 2 seasons out of the year.
