Not Getting taken out right near the finish line

The Burnout franchise is one of EA's best, one in which gamers can always count on new features, great looking vehicles, and the fastest racing around. With the release of Burnout Paradise, gamers get to take arcade racing to new levels with the speed, the action, the destruction and the crashes of previous games all wrapped up in a shiny, new package. Luckily, its not just window dressing as the whole Burnout way of racing has been re-imagined into a seamless package of both offline and online racing and challenges.

The biggest change comes from the elimination of menu screens and lobbies and replaces it with an open-ended environment chock full of options at every turn. The game takes place in Paradise City, which is huge, with over 30 square kilometers of roadway for gamers to explore covering various terrains and racing events. To get it going, just pull up to a stoplight, rev the engine, and then choose from five types of events. Long-time series favorites like "classic" racing, Road Rage and Burning Route return and are now joined by two new events: Marked Man and Stunt Run. Due to the size of the city, players will be racing through mountain roadways, downtown traffic, city streets, highways and all the way down to the shoreline for great challenges that offer the opportunity for mega-destruction along the way. When the light says go, getting to the finish line first is all that matters. Crash, smash, jump and plow through obstacles and other drivers to take home the best times and/or cause the most amount of damage by the time the finish line is crossed.

Burnout's own brand of vehicles include exotic cars, suped-up SUVs, muscle cars, and hot rods that will show every inch of damage in both slow-motion and close-up viewpoints during the game. Racing goes to new heights as players can look for opportunities to score big air for some stylish tricks like barrel rolls and spins or find secret rooftop routes for some sweet action. Get together with friends to team up and take on other online race teams for FreeBurn Challenges or simple race in head-to-head competition to see who takes home First Place. Burnout Paradise is back in a big way, and fans of the series have much to look forward to with all the new updates and racing challenges and it shouldn't be missed.
