What do you get when you combine video games and adult beverages?
You get another lonely weekend at our house. But what happens when you add money and celebrities to that combo? You get the Need for speed Prostreet launch party. We snuck in so that we could rub elbows with that Hiro from Heroes, 90210's Ian Ziering and watch Junkie Xl spin some CDs. We even took a couple of photos of the celebration while we were there.

Tetsu's Tales Tetsu
Japanese car companies sell many limited edition cars, like ae86 trueno Black limited, NIsMO 400R (www.nismo.co.jp/complete/400R/index.html), NisMO 380Rs (www.nismo.co.jp/380Rs/index.html) and Mugen RR (www.mugen-power.com/car/RR/index.html), for example. I think Japanese like the limited products because Mugen's RR sold out in 10 minutes! (Mugen was selling only 300 Mugen RR.) Not only cars, but also any boutique products. there are many boutiques tokyo. sometimes many people make line for getting limited edition products and some people sell it on Yahoo! or eBay. subaru Impreza owner's goddess, stI was selling some limited version Impreza and legacy in Japan. Do you know what stI stand for? stI means subaru tecnica International (www.subaru-sti.co.jp) and stI making subaru race cars, selling many tuning parts for subaru cars. limited version stI Impreza is different from '07 and '08 Impreza model. they are from subaru factory but limited stI Impreza is from stI factory and stI mechanic build it. that's why they are limited cars. stI was selling eleven models of limited version in past time. Impreza Ra-R (www.subaru-sti.co.jp/ra-r/index.html), Impreza s201/ s202/s203/s204 (www.subaru-sti.co.jp/sti_version.html)-they were very popular stI Impreza in Japan and it is hard to find then in used car market. Most popular limited Impreza stI is 22B stI coupe (www.subaru-sti.cojp/product/22b/top.html) and in fact, Japanese-spec Impreza stI have 2000cc motor (eJ20) which makes 308ps ('08 model). Many people noticed 2200cc motor and coupe body with wide body kit. stI was selling only 400 22B stI cars but sold out at once. Price was 5,000,000yen (about $45,500 u.s.). at seMa show '07, there was 22B stI at the subaru booth but many people passed chance to see this rare car. Many people think, "Why big rear-wing Impreza coupe on the booth at seMa?" I understand why because sign board was small which said about 22B stI. I don't know why subaru usa do not sell limited version stI cars in usa. It is very popular and many aftermarket company sell many tuning parts. Maybe you can tuning your Impreza and making own limited version Impreza.

Kitt is back!
Yes, we shouldn't really throw a Mustang in this book-especially a Gt500KR. But when the 'stang in question is the modern-day version of one of our childhood heroes, we just can't help ourselves. the heavily-kitted car you see here is the new KItt. You remember KItt, right? You better, or we're gonna come to your house and smack you in the head '80s-style. anyway, it's no longer a trans am, nor is it voiced by Mr. Feeny from Boy Meets World, but it's still pretty cool. expect to see a ton of Kitt clones during the '08 HIN season.

The Street
No more nismo?
Nissan has announced plans to halt its North American motorsports activities for Fiscal Year 2008, meaning that all NisMO racing operations will be put on hold. You will not see any Nissan or NIsMO-sponsored race cars this year, which is a definite bummer. that said, this hiatus will not affect the NIsMO parts division, so you can buy all the Nissan-engineered performance accessories your wallet can handle.

Depheartment Of Korekshuns
We erroneously forgot to list the uRl for the North American arm of Vogtland springs. It is www.vogtland-na.com. After watching too many re-runs of snoop Dogg's new show, we also wrongly took it upon ourselves to call eIC Jonathan Wong "J. Wizzle." We have been informed that we are only to refer to him as "sir," "the artist" or "Your Highness." Duly noted, you Jackass.

Classic Super Street
We should call our March 1998 Issue "Nostradamus" because it showed early sketches of Mitsubishi's creatively-named Concept sports Car-a car we would later know and sorta love when it became the 3rd-gen eclipse. We even got all eduma-cational on y'all as we taught the basics of drag racing and road racing.

Hyundai Drift Car?
Hyundai revealed its Genesis Concept Coupe at the 2007 los angeles International auto show, and if you ask us, this car will be the next big thing in our scene. like the Genesis sedan concept that came before it, this Coupe concept is rear-wheel drive and is powered by a 300+ hp V6-a great thing for enthusiasts. No concrete details are known, but Hyundai is promising that this car will deliver "a G37 driving experience at Mitsubishi eclipse prices." We've also heard from some very credible sources that Hyundai is looking to build a u.s. drift team around this car. We'll find out more when the production version of this car hits showrooms in the spring of 2009.

Nitto Wins 25 Hours Of Thunderhill
a BMW 318i, sponsored by Diffsonline and shod with Nitto Nt01 street tires won the 25 Hours of thunderhill endurance race. this car won its eO class, a class that requires all cars to run only D.O.t.-approved tires. No slicks here, kids. the Nitto-wrapped Bimmer managed to complete a total of 615 laps-five more laps than the second place finishers. Much to everyone's surprise, these tires performed well despite the intermittent rain showers, proving that Nitto makes a pretty good all-around sports tire. Congrats on the win, guys.
