Wintertime usually means a nice break for the American drifting community, but not for the gang over at Formula Drift. Knowing that there are still many that were (and still are) affected by Hurricane Sandy, they decided to hold a fundraising drift event, where for a charitable contribution (various donation amounts ranged from randomly drawn ride-alongs to selecting a designated driver), you could ride-along with just a few of FD’s top drivers roster. However, we know that times are tough on just about anyone, even those who want to help make a difference but are financially strapped—so we held our own contest, where we made a donation on behalf of our winner, Sara Baldos, from Long Beach, CA, so that she could sit shotgun with Dai Yoshihara for a smoke filled run at the House of Drift (that’s Irwindale Speedway). Don’t forget, it’s not too late to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy, so please visit Red Cross (redcross.org) for more information.
