Audi R8 Grand-Am Returns to Endurance Championships at Watkins Glen

Recent Daytona 24 Hours winner to take the wheel of the #24 car this weekend

The Details:

  • Audi R8 Grand-Am returns to Endurance Championships at Watkins Glen this weekend
  • Two cars will contest the race including a factory Audi quattro GmbH and a new customer racing team, Fall-Line Motorsports
  • The race will air on Speed TV this Sunday, June 30th at 11am EST.

The Audi R8 Grand-Am is returning to the Endurance Championships at the Watkins Glen race this weekend, June 30, 2013. Two R8 Grand-Am cars will contest the race this weekend piloted by three drivers to each Audi car including the recent winner of the Daytona 24 Hours race. The Grand-Am race car shares approximately 50 percent of its parts with the production Audi R8.

The #24 Audi is a quattro GmbH factory team car that will be driven by Felipe Albuquerque (winner of this year's Daytona 24 Hours race) and course-veterans Eduardo Mortara and Dion von Moltke. Driving the #46 customer-racing team Fall-Line Motorsports R8 Grand-Am is Al Carter, Charles Espenlaub and Charlie Putman. Look out for the special livery, B+ (Be Positive), the Fall-Line Motorsports will be running. All the #46 drivers currently drive in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series for Audi.
