BMW Releases 2014 Competition Package

M5 and M6 models get some added juice

Jun 5, 2013

BMW's famed Competition Package is now available for the four variants between the 2014 M6 and the 2014 M5. As is standard with the Competition Package, a significant power increase across the board takes these M's from 0-62 in an impressive 4.1-seconds (4.2 on M5 Sedan and M6 Convertible). With 575hp on board, each M5 and M6 will see an increase of 15hp over the stock 560 in addition to sports suspension settings, sports steering, sport exhaust, a tuned M Differential , and M Dynamic Mode.

Aesthetic improvements include an M Double-spoke kidney grille, M Steering Wheel with M DCT paddles, Thin Blade technology on the tail lights, Black Chrome exhaust tailpipes, and 20-inch Double- spoke M light-alloy wheels. However, if all of that's not enough for your M, additional options are available such as 20-inch black alloy wheels, enhanced color palette as well as upholstery and interior trim choices and adaptive LED headlights.

The Competition Package costs an additional $7300 for the M6 Coupe and Convertible as well as the M5, and expect to pay $6000 for the M6 Gran Coupe pack (price difference is based on 20-inch standard wheels).
