We visit Latvia for the Eastern European Drift Championship

Ryan Tuerck gets behind the wheel of a tube chassis M3!

Jun 17, 2013

Over the weekend we had a chance to take a trip to Riga, Latvia for the third round of the EEDC. Tagging along with our friend and Pro Formula D driver, Ryan Tuerck, who was invited to compete in the event. We were hoping to get some insight into the drift scene far abroad, and you'll see more on that in a coming issue of European Car, but for now, enjoy this video of us chasing Ryan on his very first practice run. A new car, new track and he drives it like it's his own. This car, built by HGK Motorsports in Riga, is a complete custom tube-chassis with an LS3 powerplant. No, not much of a BMW, but it is based off an M3 and we like it!
