For the first time Scion Racing will enter the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with an F-RS. Set to compete in the Unlimited class, the Evasive Motorsports-built Scion F-RS will be piloted by rookie driver Robert Walker. Also helping the Scion Racing effort are drivers Andrew Comrie-Picard in the Scion Racing Rally xD and Takeshi Aizawa in the GReddy tC, both making their second run up the hill and competing in the Time Attack class.
All three cars have been modified for not only safety but also increased performance. This is Scion Racing's second meeting at Pike Peak.
"Scion Racing is thrilled to bring three talented drivers and teams to our second visit at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, one of the world's most spectacular races," said Steve Hatanaka, Scion marketing and special events manager. "This event pushes drivers and vehicles to their extreme limits, and we are looking forward to showcasing the capabilities of three different Scion models on the mountain course."
