Lamborghini announced a new and most extreme addition to the Gallardo lineup, the 2013 LP 570-Squadra Corse. This all-wheel drive exotic is based on the race-inspired Gallardo Super Trofeo, the world’s fastest one-make series. The Squadra Corse will be presented at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show priced at € 191.100 ($253380 est. US)

For those who wish to inject race track intensity into the road, the Gallardo Squadra Corse is a worthy street-legal option. The vehicle shares many of the components that are found in the Super Trofeo competition version. For example: both share the same powerful V10 engine capable of generating 570hp @ 8000rpm along with the same carbon fiber rear wing for improved stability. The Squadra Corse is also equipped with an e-gear six-speed transmission operated by steering wheel paddles.

Due to weight-saving materials such as aluminum and carbon fiber, the new Squadra Corse weighs in at 2954 lb. Acceleration from 0-60mph can be reached in 3.4-sec and 124mph can be attained in a claimed 10.4 sec. A carbon ceramic brake system hauls this exotic down when stopping power is required.

If you’re a fan of carbon fiber, the interior has it – a lot of it. The door panels, racing seats and the center console cover are all made of carbon fiber. That’s not all - the handbrake frame, the middle of the center console, the lower rim of the steering wheel, the trim around the main and secondary instrument panels, the door handles, and the handle for opening the glove box are also constructed from the same material. Racing bucket seats are the standard, however, comfort seats can be ordered in their place.

It is available for purchase in Giallo Midas (yellow), Bianco Monocerus (white), Grigio Thalasso (grey) and in Rosso Mars (red), with an exterior that features 19in forged wheels, and brake calipers available in red, black or yellow.

Interested in a test drive? Squadra Corse offers driving events that go by the name of “Esperienza.”
