The automaker is developing a World Rally Championship racer based on the i20, a pedestrian people mover smaller than the U.S. market’s Accent and motivated by a 99-horse, 1.4-liter four. You can bet output will be exponentially multiplied in the WRC version. Can you say bring on the turbochargers? The car is a joint project between a Korean team and Hyundai Motorsports GmbH headquartered in Germany. The car should be ready for battle in the 2014 season.
