The Details:

  • Protects car paint from harsh elements
  • $16.99 per can and comes in black, white or clear
  • Can last up to three months before recoating
  • Prevents inner door handle scratches and car exterior customization capabilities

For half a century Armor All has created car care products. With that much experience, we were excited to see its latest: Custom Shield Coating. The new Custom Shield Coating sprays on and peels off without damaging the paint or surface underneath. Think of it as a quick custom color adhesive or paint protectant. It can also protect paint from soot and hydrocarbons near the exhaust area. However, we found that this product does more than just that.

Whether it's from keys, fingernails, or rings scratching the inner section of the door handle is inevitable. This new product offers affordable and quick to install against scratches in common use areas. Each can goes for $16.99 and can last up to three months before having to recoat again. Removing the coating is easy as peeling it off and throwing it away.

It can also provide your car with some customization options. By using painters tape and masking paper you can be as creative as you want like making black hood inserts or changing the color of your spoiler or side panels. Best thing about it, if you don't like it you can peel it off unlike custom paint or powdercoat. Armor All Custom Shield Coating is safe to use on all automotive finishes and is available in four finishes, clear, white, black and gray.
