Honda wastes no time prepping for the Super GT, an exciting series that visits Japan's best racing circuits such as Fuji, Suzuka, Autopolis, and Motegi. Even though the new production Acura NSX Prototype is far from rolling off the Ohio factory production line, Honda has already developed a racing machine based on the concept that was revealed only a year ago at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. Honda is calling its racing machine the NSX Concept-GT and will be tearing up the pavement in the 2014 Super GT series.
The NSX Concept-GT comes with a mid-mounted 2.0 L inline direct-injection 4-cylinder turbo engine and integrates a racing hybrid system. The car has been developed under the 2014 GT500 regulations authorized by the Japan Automobile Federation.
Just before revealing the NSX Concept-GT, American Honda Motor Co. displayed the prototype NSX's lap on the Mid-Ohio Sports Car course on the final day of the Honda Indy 200.
