Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Named 2013 Motor Trend Best Driver's Car

Aug 23, 2013

In its annual test of new cars, our sister publication, Motor Trend Magazine, named the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S as its Best Driver's Car for 2013.

Entrants must be either new of significantly improved performance cars available in the US market for this year. The win represents the second consecutive year a 911 variant has won the award and comes during the 911's 50th anniversary celebrations.

Each contender is run through a series of performance tests, a 500-mile road trip thank includes canyon driving on a closed course as well as evaluation at Laguna Seca. The test aims to go beyond the numbers to uncover the vehicle that offers enthusiasts the most engaging and rewarding driving experience. "The 911 Carrera 4S has terrific balance, telepathic steering, a potent engine, and a lightning quick transmission," said Ed Loh, Editor-in-Chief of Motor Trend.

The 2013 Best Driver's Car competition will be on Motor Trend's website www.motortrend.com or YouTube channel www.youtube.com/motortrend
