Skoda Fabia Hostel Car: A Smarter Way to Travel Abroad?

Now your rental car and room are available in one inexpensive package

Anyone who has backpacked abroad has most likely rested their head in an inexpensive hostel. The idea of a hostel is extreme affordability on room and board so money can be focused on the trip ahead. Skoda, an innovative automaker from the Czech Republic focused on simplifying the driving experience with clever features such as auxiliary ports in the cup holders, a removable lamp in the trunk or emergency vest under the seat, has designed a new take on the happy traveler hostel experience.

The Skoda Fabia Hostel car is equipped with everything a person or couple needs to spend an overnight with the added benefit of being mobile. Think of it as an affordable rental car that can be parked and used as a hostel room in select scenic locations like the Izmaiolovo Park in Russia where the idea was tested. The car is advertised for having the most spacious cabin in its category. It is equipped with a double-bed, bed linens, pillows, free Wi-Fi, personal care kit, towels, room for luggage and even an outside restroom. If you are the type of traveler that never leaves your pet behind, you are in luck because the Skoda Fabia Hostel accommodates pets too.

The experiment for the Skoda Fabia Hostel took place in Izmaiolovo Park in Russia, providing guests with not only a great view but also access to other parts of Russia. Payment for this experiment came in the form of likes, tweets, and shares. Do you think this blend of rental car and hostel room idea would work well here in the states? It is an innovative travel idea to say the least. Leave comments below.
