Toyota GT86 TRD - UK Gets GT86 TRD. Will We?

Sep 16, 2013

SpinOut dropped hints of this car in the Nov. ’12 issue, and most of the song remains the same. We reported, “Based on the TRD concept unveiled at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon, the production version headed to British garages features a TRD body kit that includes custom front and rear bumpers with a front lower air dam and rear valance, flared wheel arches, side skirts, and deck spoiler. A TRD air filter and sports exhaust with a cool quad exhaust tip that adds 10 horses to the GT86’s corral, while rolling stock and brake upgrades (no suspension mods) enhance the ride.”

The production version gets no bump in power, as the exhaust system and air filter upgrade were dropped from the program. Production is scheduled to be 250 units, and the car is offered only in pearl white and GT86 black.
