The Details:

  • White Goose Bar VW Rabbit sets land speed record in the F/BMMP class with 189.7mph run at Speed Week
  • Powered by a 2.8L VW VR6 engine and an Exile Turbo GT4202
  • Bosworth & Young Valley Fever streamliner makes its debut at Speed Week
  • Streamliner reaches 260mph, powered by a turbocharged 1.4L Suzuki Hayabusa engine

The Infinity ECU-tuned #2111 White Goose Bar VW Rabbit Pickup set a land speed record at this year's Speed Week, achieving an incredible 189.7mph in the F/BMMP class, beating the existing record of 175.567mph. The pickup is powered by a 2.8L VW VR6 engine with an Exile Turbo GT4202.

This Infinity tuned pickup is also equipped with AEM wideband air/fuel ratio sensors, IGBT "Smart" ignition coils, and stainless steel pressure and temperature sensors. Through the extreme heat of the Utah desert, repairs were made to the failed clutch, which required pulling the engine and sourcing an upgraded multi-disk clutch assembly.

The Infinity ECU-tuned #987 Bosworth & Young Valley Fever streamliner made its debut at Speed Week too. The streamliner is powered by a turbocharged 1.4L Suzuki Hayabusa engine, which helped it to reach testing speeds of 260mph, granting the driver an AA license.

While the VW pickup truck broke new records, this streamliner helped to get its driver an AA license and will continue its speed runs next at the SCTA World Finals this October.
