2015 Ferrari California T Details:
The Ferrari F40 chiseled a place for itself in supercar history with its beautiful design, stripped down to the essentials cabin and raw boosted performance. It was, until recently, the last turbo-powered Ferrari we’ve seen. Today, the 2015 Ferrari California T was announced leading to its upcoming Geneva Motor Show unveil. The “T” if you haven’t guessed it stands for the twin-turbos bolted to a new 3.9L V8. The result is a claimed 552hp and 557 lb-ft of torque powering a beautifully sculpted body – in red of course.
Compared to the last California model, the 2015 variant boasts an increase of 69hp and 185 lb-ft of torque to keep life more interesting when bombing through the Malibu Mountains. In hard numbers that extra juice equates to 0-60mph in 3.6sec and a top speed of 196mph, as claimed by manufacturer. Low inertia twin-scroll turbos and a boost management system helps minimize boost lag and maximize throttle response.

Handling and braking components were also upgraded. A new steering box, Magnaride suspension and springs improve corner carving. Carbon ceramic brakes are also equipped – a setup that will require warm up before working optimally.
The exterior resembles the last California but has been updated. Items such as the headlights, hood and fender flares are new. Once sitting within the cabin you will notice a touch-sensitive infotainment system and best of all, a clearly visible boost gauge!
Keep an eye out for Ferrari’s latest turbo GT at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Pricing and further details TBA. We can’t wait to see it in person!
