Forge Motorsport air intake
Forge claims gains of "up to" 5hp for a stock Mk5 VW GTI with this new aluminum intake fitted. It was designed to be light as well as efficient. The 70mm tubing provides optimum airflow through a Pipercross filter. The system includes a heat shield, stainless steel clamps and Euro-sourced silicone hoses. It's finished in an OEM-style black powdercoat.
AEM Infinity Management
Available for US-spec '95 E36 BMW M3 (B30 engine) and '92-95 E36 325i (B25 engine), the management system can process 400million instructions per second, while offering features that include throttle map switching, multiple boost controls, data logging and engine protection. There's no need for any add-on parts and AEM tech support is free.
Penray's Tire Fix Plus
There are several brands on the market but the clever thing about this emergency tire sealant and inflator is that it leaves a fluorescent mark where the leak was. This helps the tire tech locate the puncture and make a permanent repair more quickly. The sealant is also compatible with tire pressure sensors. It's made in the USA and contains no environmentally harmful CFC gases. You can buy it in 12, 16 and 22oz sizes to suit a variety of tires from ATVs to light trucks.
Wilwood brake kit
The '02-on Mini Cooper and Cooper S are the lucky recipients of this front big-brake upgrade from Wilwood. It employs forged billet DynaPro radial-mounted four-piston calipers to bite down on 11.75" slotted rotors. The kit comes with aluminum hats, mounting brackets and other hardware necessary for installation, including Wilwood's BP-10 high-performance street pads. Stainless steel braided lines need to be purchased separately.
Although the Jaguar F-Type has only been on sale for about five minutes, Valour has been busy developing a range of aftermarket parts and accessories for it. These include tuning packages (for both V6 and V8 engines) as well as exhaust systems, lowering springs, anti-roll bars, chassis brace, brake discs and 20" wheels. On the styling side there is a grille, rear spoiler and diffuser.
AC Schnitzer Type V wheels
German BMW tuning specialist, AC Schnizter, claims a 30% weight saving with its forged Type V one-piece wheels. That's like saying goodbye to 44 lb of unsprung mass, compared to regular factory wheels. Sizes range from 20x9" to 22x11.5" and they will fit the BMW 5, 6 and 7 Series, plus the X3, X5 and X6. The finish is called Anthracite.
Caractere Audi program
Tuning house CEC has announced an expansion to the Caractere program to include the recently facelifted B8.5 Audi A4 and S4. It's a feast of TuV-approved parts that include front bumper, side skirts, trunk spoiler and diffuser. There are also Caractere CW1 wheels in 18, 19, or 20" sizes, finished in graphite or silver. CEC can even offer something in the engine department, with ECU upgrades that add a claimed 39hp and 41 lb-ft to the A4, or 52hp and 48 lb-ft to the S4.

Amsoil Synthetic ATF
Amsoil's new OE Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid is said to be thermally stable. This means it resists evaporation at high temperatures, while remaining viscous in sub-zero conditions. Seal conditioners included in the formulation also help prevent gaskets drying out and cracking. Suitable for a wide range of vehicles.
AudioControl DQ-61 processor
The DQ-61 is designed to perk up factory car audio systems by enhancing the acoustic alignment of the left and right channels. It also allows the listener to blend a subwoofer to harmonize the sound better. Accepting six channels of up to 400 watts per channel, the processor has a 21-band equalizer to fine-tune the audio signal. It also has a special process for correcting bass roll-off. Available in Espresso Black or Cascade Blue.
Integrated Engineering heads
By improving airflow by up to 75 cubic feet per minute (or 34%) on the intake side and 40CFM (25%) on the exhaust side, Integrated Engineering's new CNC-ported cylinder heads for the Volkswagen 2.0T FSI and Golf R engines are claimed to provide significant power gains in the middle of the powerband up to the redline. So if you're building a high-power 2.0T, these heads could give you a real advantage on the dynamometer.
From $2295 for a bare head; $3509.99 assembled
Neuspeed reckons the factory intercooler on the Mk6 versions of the VW 2.0T engine (found in later versions of the Audi TT, GTI, Jetta GLI and Golf R) is inefficient. As a solution, the company places its own front-mount intercooler in front of the two radiator cores, exposing it to an unrestricted flow of cool air. The result should be more consistent power delivery, particularly on modified cars, although stock engines should also see an improvement.
AWE 4" tips
Thanks to a large opening in the factory valance of the (2008-on) B8.5 Audi S4 and S5 models with the 3.0T engine, it's possible to fit AWE Tuning's 102mm (4") exhaust tips onto the company's performance exhaust system. The tips are double-walled to maintain a perfect finish under hard use and available in either Diamond Black or Polished Silver. What's more, the mounting position is adjustable, and can be positioned according to preference.
From $2099 for the exhaust system including tips
Bilstein B16 iRC app
Now there's an app for controlling the Bilstein B16 active suspension system, in case you want to compete with owners of competitor systems that offer something similar. Available for iPhone (with Android to follow), the app lets users scroll between three factory presets: Comfort, Normal and Sport. Adjustments can be made in real time, and there's also the option of creating, storing and sharing custom settings for specific uses such as a racetrack. The system also has an automatic mode that can account for vehicle speed and road surface to provide adaptive tuning on the go.
New Trent PowerPak Xtreme
It's claimed to be water-resistant and drop-proof, and can recharge two USB-powered devices at the same time. So this new battery pack is perfect for taking on camping weekends or for whenever you're away from the usual wall sockets to charge your phone and tablet. We sampled the battery pack and although we haven't tested it underwater, it does a good job of keeping your devices powered up. You can charge it from either a wall socket or USB cable, but it takes a while, so we'd recommend the former over the latter. Once powered, you can slip it in your bag or hang it by the supplied carabiner. While in the field and away from a suitable power source, simply open the waterproof flap and plug phones or tablets into the two USB ports and it will power them up from almost zero power. This should be enough for a weekend away from it all.
HRE Series P1 wheels
Inspired by its own three-piece Series S1 line, HRE now has monoblock P1 interpretations of the three designs. The one-piece options include the P101 mesh-style wheel, P104 multi-spoke and the P107 split five-spoke. The designs are available in 19-22" sizes, with widths ranging from 8.5-13". Each HRE wheel is built to order and there are many fit, color and finish options for the TuV-approved rims.
From $2200 per wheel

Tigra Sport iPhone 5 case
Tigra Sport has introduced the Bravo case for the iPhone 5. And it is, so the company claims, the world's first fully waterproof (down to 6ft) and shockproof (6ft drop onto a hard surface at multiple angles) aluminum case for the iPhone 5. The aero-grade aluminum is CNC-machined to ensure a good fit. The case is supplied with screws, tools, spare screws, headphone conversion cable, lint-free cleaning cloth and instructions. The case comes in silver, black or anodized aluminum (more colors available soon).
Vorsteiner is introducing a new design to its Flow Forged wheel range. These are made by manipulating the structure of the aluminum at a microscopic level, controlling the alloy's flow as the rim spins. The result is finer detail, lower weight and more consistent production. The smallest rim is claimed to weigh only 22 lb, and the production method even helps reduce costs by up to 53% compared to traditional one-piece forged rims. The five-lug arrangement is suitable for a wide variety of cars, with sizes ranging from 19x8.5" to 20x11".

Alpha 5.5L pulley kit
If you own an AMG car with the W211 5.5-liter supercharged V8 (including the E55, CL55, CLS55, S55 and G55 from 2002-09), it's possible to upgrade it with a claimed hike of 100hp. Alpha Performance has a kit that includes an OEM crank pulley that's been machined to accept a 6061 aluminum outer ring, therefore retaining the stock harmonic damper. There's also a Gates Greenstripe micro V-belt and Alpha's custom calibrated software tune.
Maradyne Pacesetter 6v fans
Owners of classic cars will appreciate Maradyne's new Pacesetter cooling fans that operate at 6 volts. They come in 12, 14 and 16" sizes, which should be compact enough to mount in front of an existing radiator and provide extra cooling when needed. You'll want to install either a manual toggle switch to activate it when the temp rises, or use Maradyne's non-relay harness that is triggered by the radiator's temperature.
