- Competition consists of dynamometer challenge and time trial
- Set for Oct 1 and 2 in Southern California | Open to street-tuned and tuner built vehicles

Import Tuner is heading back to the track and dyno to find out which enthusiast- and tuner-built front engine, rear-wheel-drive (FR) sport compacts are kings of the road! And we’re giving you the tires to do it on, too!
The 2014 Import Tuner FR Shootout is open to any FR layout chassis, everything from the new Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ, to older models like the Nissan Z, Honda S2000 and Mazda RX-7. Competition consists of a dynamometer challenge on day 1 and time attack on day 2. It’s open to naturally aspirated and forced induction street-tuned vehicles sourced from your entries, with a preference toward enthusiast- and tuner-built vehicles.
Let us be very clear: NO FULLY PREPPED RACE CARS—street cars only!
Continental Tire is the official title sponsor of the 2014 Import Tuner FR Shootout, and will provide all selected competitors a set of ExtremeContact DW tires for the event. Dyno testing will be take place on October 1 at Raceline USA in Temple City, Calif., while the time attack is set for Streets of Willow Springs at Willow Springs International Raceway on October 2. Coverage of the 2014 FR Shootout will be featured across Import Tuner social and web properties, and an event video will be produced and shared on Import Tuner’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
