Ken Block Gets Wild in the Streets of L.A. in Gymkhana 7 (W/Video)

While few sequels live up to the expectations of the original, the videos in Ken Block’s Gymkhana series have consistently topped the episodes that preceded them. And Gymkhana 7 is no different. In the latest video, Ken Block gets wild in the streets of Los Angeles in a heavily modified 1965 Ford Mustang coupe.

Where Block previous used a rally-prepped 650-hp Ford Fiesta ST RX43 2013 race car, this time out he slips behind the wheel of the “Hoonicorn” -- an 825-hp 1965 Ford Mustang coupe fitted with all-wheel drive. The video begins with the Hoonicorn tied down with a heavy chain as Block smokes all four tires. After releasing the chain, Block drifts out onto the streets of Los Angeles to begin the mayhem. While police cars block off the streets being used for the video, local traffic can be seen not far from the Hoonigan stunts.

During the video, Block drifts around iconic landmarks such as the manmade Los Angeles River and Randy’s Donuts. Block drifts around a moving police car and at one point flies past a row of police cars following a slow moving white Ford Bronco. Other iconic Los Angeles symbols appear in the video including a food cart, homeless shopping cart, and a hopping low-rider Cadillac Fleetwood.
