Although the production version of the new Honda Civic Type R won’t be shown until the 2015 Geneva auto show next month, the automaker has released a few more details along with a few teaser images of the new hot hatch. Due in part to its specially developed aerodynamics package, the new Honda Civic Type R will reach a top speed of 167 mph, according to the automaker.

Up front, the new Honda Civic Type R features a wide front splitter that channels air to the deep side skirts, which are said to manage airflow and reduce lift. Attention to the shape of the front bumper helped reduce air turbulence around the front wheels for reduced drag and better high-speed stability. Larger upper and lower front grilles and front fender vents aid cooling of the turbocharged VTEC engine. Other aerodynamic bits include a nearly flat underbody with rear diffuser which combines with a large rear wing for increased downforce and high-speed stability.

Additionally, the Honda Civic Type R hatchback’s new 2.0-liter direct-injection VTEC turbo I-4 with “more than 276 hp” will also contribute to the front-drive hot hatch’s 167-mph top speed. The Civic Type R will also feature Brembo brakes with four-piston calipers and 13.8-inch rotors up front behind large 19-inch alloy wheels.

Last year, Honda showed blue and red Honda Civic Type R concepts at the 2014 Geneva auto show. This year, the automaker will show the production car in Championship White and release full details of the new production Honda Civic Type R hatchback. The new Honda Civic Type R hasn’t been confirmed for the U.S.

Earlier this year, Subaru announced the WRX STI would get a 5-horsepower boost for 2019. No, it wasn’t much, but at least the STI would no longer be outgunned by the turbocharged four-cylinder Mustang. Subaru’s latest special edition STI, however, comes with a much less underwhelming boost in power. It’s called the WRX STI TC 380, and
