Behind The Scenes – Furious 7 Featurette "C-130 Drop"

LOOK MA, NO CGI: Movie makers spill the beans about one of the movie's gnarliest shots

Ahead of its release date of April 3, the creators of the latest installment of the "Fast and the Furious" series released a behind-the-scenes scoop on one of the most complex scenes in the movie. From the trailers, we see five cars parachute out of a plane, but how do they do it?

Some of the stunts in the movie franchise have been over the top and seemingly impossible. Cars parachuting out of a plane is definitely high up on that list, but it seems that this stunt is one that was actually performed and not rendered on a computer.

In the behind-the-scenes look, the creators show just how they made this stunt work, from skydivers with cameras strapped to their heads, empty cars with parachutes, and a full camera crew in the cargo plane. A helicopter follows all the action, hoping to capture the perfect shots. From 12,000 feet in the air, it seems like there would be many variables that would make this scene hard to accomplish.
