For the fifth time since 2005, Formula Drift has a new home on television. Via press release, the world's top sideways sliding series revealed details about its multi-year agreement with CBS Sports Network, a deal that begins with 20 half-hour programs covering its 2015 world championship rounds in 13 installments and seven episodes earmarked for the behind-the-scenes "Formula Drift Insider."
The sport has changed a lot in that decade-plus - so much we figured rather than droning on about what each TV era meant for the growth of Formula D, it would be sorta cool to see what screens featured, embodied say by one popular competitor over the years. Since Chris Forsberg happens to be the reigning champ and has been around pretty much from Day 1 - enduring every television partner FD has had - his Nissan Z cars are an obvious choice.
Formula D programming debuts Wednesday, May 6 at 8:30 PM, ET. CBS Sports Network is available to homes across the country through local cable, video and telecom providers and via satellite on DirecTV Channel 221 and Dish Network Channel 158.
