In Louisville, Ky., a delivery driver was stabbed in the back while delivering pizza to a local hospital. Josh Lewis, 25, managed to deliver the pizzas before collapsing from his injuries, while the attacker drove off in his car.
Police estimate that the attack took place around 2:45 pm when he arrived to drop off the pizza. Lewis' boss, Willow Rouben, told WLKY News, "It's surreal. I can't believe it happened to him. As he was taking the pizzas out of his car and walking to deliver the pizza, he was stabbed in the back. Believe it or not, he got his pizzas delivered and collapsed in the ER."
The suspect is said to be a black man in his 40's. Police are still searching for Lewis' vehicle, a black Jeep Cherokee with gold racing stripes and a light blue trim. As he was rushed into surgery for a collapsed lung, Rouben went on to say that they are doing what they can to help Lewis and his family during this time. "He's just a sweetheart. He's a sweet kid and we're just so sad that this happened to him. Our hearts are broke. We just want him to be OK."
