Pod racing experience apparently didn't help the former child actor who played young Anakin Skywalker in "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" from getting caught by police after a high-speed chase.
Actor Jake Lloyd, 26, led police on a chase in South Carolina, where he reached speeds above 100 mph. ABC 7 reports Lloyd ultimately crashed his car in a wooded area off Interstate 95. The former Jedi Padawan was arrested and charged with reckless driving and failing to stop for officers. The chase lasted more than 25 miles.
The man arrested gave his name as Jake Broadbent, though his birthdate matched that of Lloyd, as did his hometown of Fort Collins, Colo. Lloyd reportedly did an interview in 2012, where he said Star Wars ruined his childhood and turned him off acting. According to the Internet Movie Database, Lloyd was last credited back in 2005 for a film called "Madison." It was the only non-Star Wars project the prequel star was involved with after Phantom Menace.
