Subarus look good in blue. Whether it's the iconic WR Blue Pearl or another shade, the color looks good on cars wearing the six-star badge. Now, Subaru is giving customers another option with the exclusive Hyper Blue exterior paint, available on a limited number of WRX STI and BRZ models.

The special light blue cars belong to a limited-production run that Subaru is calling Series.HyperBlue. Just 700 WRX STI models and 500 BRZ coupes will get the Series.HyperBlue treatment. In addition to the bespoke exterior paint, 2016 STI Series.HyperBlue models will receive matching blue stitching on the Alcantara seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, shifter boot, console, and floor mats. The special models will include Subaru's Starlink navigation and infotainment system with 7.0-inch screen as standard, along with a nine-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system with 440-watt amplifier and hands-free keyless entry and push-button start.

Matching blue accents can also be found on the center console, kneepads, and door panels. All 2016 BRZ models get a 6.2-inch Starlink infotainment system with satellite radio capability, Bluetooth connectivity, smartphone app integration, and Starlink cloud applications. BRZ models also receive a standard rearview camera for 2016. The unique blue paint isn't the only exterior modification to the BRZ Series.HyperBlue. Black-finished 17-inch alloy wheels, glossy black badging, and black mirrors further dress up the special coupe.
