Nissan announced that it will display 20 vehicles at the upcoming Tokyo motor show. Among these vehicles are twonew concepts: the Teatro for Dayz and the updated Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo.
The Teatro for Dayz concept takes a stab at driving the next generation, but shows more interest in technology than driving. This concept hopes to excite that target market, but it's very reminiscent of the late Cube. The concept itself offers a white interior to act as a "clean canvas," allowing the doors, instrument panel, and seats to take different forms. While the vehicle is in operation, controls, maps, and other important information light up on the white instrument panel. When parked, these controls are hidden and the interior "becomes a live display for a generation wired for connectivity."
Teatro for Dayz utilizes Nissan's electric vehicle technology, further cementing the idea that this vehicle is perfect for the "share native" generation. While not much else has been revealed, it's expected that it will offer heavy amounts of technology.
Another concept Nissan will show is its version of a real-world virtual car: the updated Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo. While this vehicle was first revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2014 in England, Nissan has tweaked the grille and added a Fire Knight red body exterior color. This concept was originally developed in part by Polyphony Digital Inc., the creators of the game Gran Turismo for PlayStation.
