A name we rarely hear about has been bought up by a name most of us thought had disappeared down the plughole of time. Frazer-Nash has taken over Bristol Cars. Or at least Swiss concern Kamkorp Autokraft, part of the Frazer-Nash Group, has. Apparently, F-N has been working on electric cars and range-extended powertrains and sees this acquisition as a way to bring those technologies to the fore. This is pretty unbelievable since Bristol cars are renowned for being far from the cutting edge. They don’t seem to have changed much since Winston Churchill was “flirting” with Lady Astor. But developments like this keep life interesting. Current Bristol owners have received assurance that their servicing and maintenance needs will not be affected. Among those are former President Carter and Sir Richard Branson.
