The exclusive British shoemaker has partnered with Aston Martin to produce “Winner Sport” and what’s being described as the ultimate lightweight driver’s shoe.

The new handmade footwear has been co-designed by Aston Martin’s Director of Design, Marek Reichman and John Lobb Creative Director, Andrés Hernández. The result is described as a sleek, aerodynamic shoe, said to speak to the world of the automobile while sits comfortably within the existing John Lobb collection of high quality, highly expensive men’s shoes.

Crafted around John Lobb’s 8695 last (shoe form), Winner Sport is made from full-grain calfskin and lined with supple sheepskin. Soft padding has been added at the ankle, and metallic eyelets, punched with a wheel of fine holes, reflect automotive design cues from Aston Martin.

Unlike the more formal, welted John Lobb shoes, Winner Sport is created with a specially engineered bonded rubber sole that wraps beneath the shoe, giving a sleek line and sporting feel.

Winner Sport is available in a range of color combinations: Graphite Grey, Winter Wheat, Frost White and Saddle Tan all have the Sporty Stratos White rubber sole. While Storm Black, Bitter Chocolate, Westminster Green and Aurora Blue have the Racy Fire Red rubber soles. Coordinating red and white laces complete the Winner Sport look.

Winner Sport will be previewed in March at both the opening of the new Aston Martin W-One Store in Park Lane, London, and at the John Lobb store on Jermyn Street, London. From May 2012, Winner Sport will be available at selected John Lobb and Aston Martin stores worldwide.
