At the 2012 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event on 28 April, Land Rover issued a challenge to owners of its cars. They were looking for the best tailgate spread to discover who took their horse racing and entertainment seriously.

Winners of the Tailgate Challenge were Dr James D White and wife Margaret for the best decorated, best catered and most creative tailgate party. "We are absolutely thrilled to be named the Land Rover Tailgate Challenge winners," said Dr White. "My wife and I have been enthusiasts of both Land Rover and the equestrian community for many years now, so this is quite an honor."

The Whites are long-standing customers of Land Rover Cincinnati and have owned more than eight Land Rovers including their current LR4.

The event was judged by a panel including Andy Goss, President, Jaguar Land Rover North America and Kim McCullough, Brand VP, LR North America. "The Whites' tailgate presentation was very well executed. Their display best represented the Land Rover brand and had quite the equestrian flare. We knew they had won as soon as we approached the car," explained McCullough.

The Whites received two 2013 Rolex Kentucky Sponsor Pavilion Hospitality tickets, two reserved grandstand seats for the Event, a premium tailgate space and the use of a Land Rover for the weekend for the 2013 event.
