There’s a Mercedes-Benz E-Class hybrid heading our way. The 2013 E400 Hybrid goes on sale in the United States during the second half of 2012. Its V6 gasoline engine makes 302 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, while an electric motor brings 27 hp and 184 lb-ft to the party. M-B estimates fuel consumption of 24 mpg in the city, 31 mpg on the highway and 27 mpg combined. Just as importantly, the company says “the extra cost involved is only moderate.” Phew, that’s a relief.
