Legendary GT Car manufacturer, Aston Martin has unveiled the new 2013 Vanquish. Baring the iconic nameplate is a 6.0L naturally aspirated V12 engine unleashing 565 hp and 457 lb-ft to a touchtronic 2 six-speed automatic gearbox. Making the new Vanquish Aston Martin’s most heart-pumping model.
Having made a splash at the 2012 Italian concours Villa d’Este, under the concept name plate AM310, fans around the world got a sneak preview to the orchestra emanating from magnificent harmony of all 12 cylinders firing underneath a refined One-77 inspired shell. The exterior body is entirely constructed from carbon fiber married to a rigid and light aluminum chassis.
The new Vanquish pulls design cues from its supercar older brother, the One-77 now One-76 due to one wrecked recently. An elongated waistline, sculpted front fender speared openings, and a rear integrated trunk lid Aero-Duct for more down force at speed contribute to a progressive design language for the brand. The most noticeable design feature is the front carbon fiber lower valance. Almost as if designed to shovel low cool air into the highly tuned V12 engine compartment, then expelled from either fender gill guided by the belt line spears toward the rear Aero-Duct trunk, planting the tires to the ground as you aspire to find the limits like the bastard child of James Bond.
Inside Aston Martin has carried on the timeless tradition of hand stitched high quality leather with seemingly never ending personalization colors and options. The new Vanquish goes even as far as adding nearly 60% more trunk space for those cross country gumball runs.
Aston Martin has managed to bring the most desired elements of their million-dollar One-77 into the elegantly presented Vanquish, starting at just $298,339.77 MSRP.
