We appreciate when already-tough cars are toughened up further. The Land Rover Defender, for example, looks like a little off-road brawler even in bone-stock form, but the XTech Special Edition pretty much makes every part of the car look manlier, with some attitude.

The Defender XTech is offered in either Orkney Grey or Nara Bronze, which are both unique to this edition, complemented by a black roof and wheel arches and grill accents. There’s a rear step bumper, too, for when you’re all muddy, struggling to climb back into the car, now that it’s sitting taller on 16” Gloss Black Saw Tooth alloy wheels and MTR off-road tires.

Inside you’ve now got air conditioning, ABS and traction control, all while sitting on freshly upholstered seats in pure Ebony leather. Offered as either the 90 Hard Top or 110 Utility Wagon, this Defender will sport a 2.2 liter diesel and a 6-speed manual transmission. You’ll be able to get your hands on one in July, just not here, of course.
