The analog clock in the lacquered dashboard of a Rolls-Royce Phantom ticks just as quickly as any other timepiece. This generation of Phantom has now been wafting around since 2003. A successor is anticipated in 2016, but in the interim, the car has received a revamp and the title of Series II. A new grille, bumper and LED headlights adorn the nose of the sedan, coupe and Drophead convertible. The 6.75-liter V12 remains, while the automatic transmission now has eight ratios and fuel efficiency improves somewhat. Flashing up on the 8.8-inch touchscreen are front and rear camera views, with a virtual overhead aspect; plus a navigation system with 3D maps and guided tours. Just having the time for a guided tour would be a luxury for most of us.
