Lamborghini presented a new look for the most successful sports car in the company’s history when it unveiled the new Gallardo LP 560-4 and the LP 570-4 Edizione Tecnica at the Paris auto show this week.
The new Gallardo LP 560-4 is equipped with permanent four-wheel drive, as before but has a new front and rear design. The top models in the Gallardo line-up, the LP 570-4 Superleggera and LP 570-4 Spyder Performante, will be also offered in the enhanced Edizione Tecnica.
The six models in the Gallardo family are now differentiated and can be customized to suit every type of driver. The new models will be available at Lamborghini dealerships from November 2012.
The new Gallardo LP 560-4
With almost 13000 units sold, the Gallardo design has been accentuated in the LP 560-4 with a new front-end characterized by triangular and trapezoidal forms.
Divided by diagonal elements in body color and black, the overall look of the front-end is broader.
Larger air intakes have also been added ahead of the front wheels, and the new 19” "Apollo polished" wheels, painted in matte black with polished silver machined spokes.
The more dynamic rear-end also exhibits triangles and trapezoids while the engine air outlet is wider, improving its efficiency.
An optional Style Package is available with gloss black paintwork on the underside of the front spoiler, front and rear grilles and the transverse element of the rear trim.
Gallardo LP 570-4 Edizione Tecnica
With a more lightweight design, the LP 570-4 Superleggera and Spyder Performante mark the pinnacle of the Gallardo family.
As Edizione Tecnica, they benefit from a improved equipment and a more individual look.
Features of the Edizione Tecnica include the fixed rear wing, as well as carbon-ceramic brakes to reduce weight and resist fade.
Three new exclusive color combinations are available, with the roof and front air intakes are painted in a contrasting color. The shades include Nero Nemesis (matt black) body with Arancio Argos (orange) pillars and front air intakes, Bianco Canopus (matt white) with Arancio Argos highlights, and Arancio Argos with Nero Nemesis.
