Built from the ground up, the new Range Rover made its global debut today. The new Range has been reengineered, redesigned, and refined to standards expected by Land Rover customers from around the world. Maintaining its poise on road and perfecting its performance off road the Range brings a total redesigned package to customers.

Exterior design is refined to mimic the popular Evoque design language. Sweeping headlights and taillights with a slightly raked roofline providing the car with an accelerated look while standing still. Ditching the need for pure flat surfaces with fender arches. The new Range Rover is the most aerodynamic model to date (10% more efficient than the outgoing model). Integrating subtle compound surfaces while maintaining the distinct road presence of a Range Rover.

The interior has also received a dose of modern design influences. Fine woods, leathers and the smell of many leather bound books fill cabin. Providing the driver and all occupants the distinct satisfaction of ultimate luxury. Features include a new 12.3-inch instrument display cluster and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment and secondary functions unit. Screen graphics on both displays were designed to give the impression of 3D surfaces with rendered materials like chrome detailing. Keeping with the innovation theme in the model, the Range ditches 50 percent of its switches and knobs in favor a cleaner cabin experience.

Drive trains receive some tender love and affection in the new Range. The base model 5-liter V8 packs 375hp with a 0-60 time of 6.5 seconds. While the 510hp 5-liter V8 supercharged accomplishes its 0-60 sprint in 5.1 seconds. Each power package comes with the electronically controlled 8-speed automatic transmission with silky smooth shifting, responsive shifts and better fuel economy.

Construction and safety are high on the priority list for the new Range. The new aluminum chassis is constructed from 75% recycled aluminum material sourced from closed loop recycling. Showing Land Rover’s sustainability efforts in today’s modern car manufacturing process. Safety features include an enhanced radar based Adaptive Cruise Control to maintain a predetermined gap to the vehicle in front of you. Blind Spot Monitoring, Close Vehicle Sensing and Reverse Traffic Detection provide further security for all passengers. But incase an accident does occur the Range Rover is equipped with driver, passenger, side curtain and thorax airbags along with active front seat belts linked to the emergency braking system.

Creating a Range Rover to fit within your life has never been easier. 37 exterior paint finishes (including 22 exclusive autobiography colors), 17 different interior themes, 3 exclusive interior veneers (more to follow), 3 headlining colors and 8 alloy wheel designs (ranging from 19-22 in). We suppose that with the infinite ways a Range Rover could look many dealerships will have to extend their operating hours.

The launch of the latest generation in the Range Rover heritage marks a pinnacle moment in the company’s history. Marrying the expectation of an off road vehicle with the demand of modern tastes and technology. Striving to always be the benchmark in the capable off-road luxury vehicle, Land Rover delivers another Range Rover that aims to keep the bar high above the competition.
