Six generations, 38 years and over 29 million sold the VW Golf debuts its latest skin. “We want to continue this success story in the seventh generation Golf.” Stated Volkswagen Chariman of the Board Martin Winterkorn, during the unveil in Berlin.

Everything on the new Golf has been redesigned from the interior to the exterior and even the powertrain. The new Golf is safer more comfortable and spacious than the previous model, shedding 220 lb and adding 23% more fuel efficiency. One engine suspected to hit state side is a new 1.4L turbocharged four cylinder (confirmation pending).
