For the third time this season Bruno Spengler has won a DTM Championship race in his BMW Bank M3 DTM. This past weekend’s race took place at the “Motorsports Arena Oschersleben” where 71,000 fans surrounded the track.

Bruno gives BMW its 52nd overall DTM win and the 20th victory for Team Principal Charly Lamm. Bruno now closes the driver championship gap to only 11 points from Mercedes-Benz driver Gary Paffett (who finished second only 0.69sec behind Bruno).

Dirk Werner took his E-Postbrief BMW M3 DTM to fourth place – a personal best for the driver. While Augusto Farfus took fifth place in his Castrol EDGE BMW M3 DTM, giving BMW their first three car finish in the top five. Joey Hand (US driver in the Samsung BMW M3 DTM) came close to finishing in the top 10, crossing the finish line in 11th after battling from 20th at the starting grid.

With two races left in the season, Valencia and Hokenheimring, this years DTM champion could be crowned during the season’s final race. Making this a thrilling and competitive year for DTM.
