You may remember that an auction took place in May to raise funds for victims of the earthquake that hit the Emilia Romagna region in Italy. The most exciting lot was a 599 XX Evo donated by Ferrari for the families who suffered during the quake.

The winning bid was placed by Californian Benjamin Sloss who generously offered 1.4 million Euros for the remarkable car. At a handover ceremony in Monza, the keys were passed to the new owner by Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo, along with the F1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa.

Visting with his wife Christine, Sloss was thrilled by the event and was extremely happy to have contributed to this cause in the hope of helping with the reconstruction.
