As one of the most enduring movie franchise in cinematic history, the James Bond series is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the arrival of the new Skyfall movie.

To join the celebrations, Jaguar Land Rover will commemorate the occasion at the 2012 Paris auto show with a displaying of a Land Rover Defender used in the new movie.

The Double Cab Pick Up Defender is seen driven in the opening sequence by field agent Eve (played by Naomie Harris). The same vehicle will be on display in the Land Rover booth during on Friday 28 Sept.

In total, Jaguar Land Rover provided 77 vehicles to the Skyfall film makers, including the Defender, Range Rover and Jaguar XJ. All appear on-screen and were also used as production support vehicles.

Co-Producer Andrew Noakes, a veteran of 11 James Bond films, said: “Bond is quintessentially British, and Jaguar and Land Rover are two of the most established and globally recognized British brands, so it was a natural step for us to involve them in the film.”

Alongside Daniel Craig as James Bond, the cast includes Dame Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Bérénice Marlohe, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Albert Finney.

Skyfall will begin its worldwide roll-out in the UK and Ireland on 26th October 2012.
