US motorists have an exciting 2013 in store if the new products from Jaguar Land Rover are any indication. Its booth at the LA Auto show will include the 2014 Jaguar XFR-S, Jaguar F-TYPE and 2013 Range Rover, which all make North American debuts this week.
"The Los Angeles Auto Show is one of the most significant for Jaguar Land Rover as we launch a true modern day British invasion with the debut of three breakthrough new products," said JLR North America President, Andy Goss. "The new Jaguar F-TYPE, Jaguar XFR-S and all new Range Rover will all make a major impact, specifically in the United States, which will be the world's largest market for all three vehicles."
Making its global debut at the show will be the XFR-S, the fastest and most powerful sedan Jaguar has ever produced. This is the second model in the ultra-high performance R-S range, but only 100 sedans will be offered for the 2014 model year in the US - making it one of the most exclusive Jaguars ever. Also making its US show debut in LA is the new 2013 Range Rover, which is the world's first SUV with an all-aluminum body. The US spec vehicle will use the naturally-aspirated 5.0L V8 and is approximately 700 lb lighter than the outgoing model. The Range Rover will go on sale in December starting at $83500.
The third debutant in LA will be the gorgeous 2014 Jaguar F-TYPE, displayed for the first time with high-gloss "Black Pack" black body trim. The car combines low weight (starting at 3,521 lb) with high power (340hp, 380hp or 495hp versions) and superb aerodynamics to achieve a pure sports car experience. The F-TYPE goes on sale in summer 2013 starting at $69000.
