BritWeek kicked off this week across California, aimed at celebrating the creative fusion between the UK and California in categories such as film, television, art, design and more.

One of the many occasions occurred in Los Angeles on April 26: the BritWeek Christopher Guy Design Event. It concentrates on the influence of the UK in luxury design, now in its third year and given the name of the globally recognized furniture designer.

For 2013, Jaguar Design Director, Ian Callum, was honored for his significant contributions to British Design. With his history with Jaguar, Callum has designed the current line-up including the fabulous new F-Type.

Callum commented: "design has long been a hallmark of the Jaguar brand and I'm honored that fellow British designer Christopher Guy has recognized my appreciation for automotive design with the BritWeek Design Icon Award."
