Sebastien Loeb victory in McLaren 12C GT3 at FIA GT season-opener

Nine-time WRC champ is still unstoppable

Like something from a Hollywood movie, and while driving the first GT race of his career, Sebastien Loeb won the FIA GT series opener in a McLaren 12C GT3 last weekend at his home event on the Nagaro circuit in France.

Not only was this his first GT race, but also his first in the McLaren. Sharing the drive was Alvaro Parente, the pair qualified second, with the Sebastien Loeb Racing team's sister car in seventh. The Parisy/Zuber car would eventually finish tenth, bringing the team some good points.

Although the 12C GT3 won its European debut, the second race of the weekend would not prove as successful. Starting from pole, Loeb would suffer a penalty in the second-half of the race as a result of a botched pitstop. This would result in a 12th place finish for Loeb with the sister car in 11th.
