Aston Martin centenary celebrations continued in Germany last weekend when it used the occasion of the 41st ADAC Zurich Nürburgring 24 Hour to parade more than 100 cars at the Nordschleife.

The convoy was led by Aston Martin CEO, Dr Ulrich Bez, who drove the new CC100 Speedster Concept, which made its global debut at the Nürburgring.

Among the models making the 14-mile lap were the DB5 from the recent James Bond film Skyfall movie, a One-77 hypercar, the 1959 Nürburgring 1000km- winning DBR1 driven by Sir Stirling Moss who won the race, and a modern Centenary Edition Vanquish.

They were followed by Aston Martin owners who had travelled from across Europe to take part in the gathering. They brought examples of DBS, DB9, Vantage, Rapide, DB3, DB2/4 Drophead, DB7 Zagato and a V12 Vanquish S.

Aston Martin had a strong entry at this year's ADAC Zurich Nürburgring 24 Hours with a front-running V12 Vantage GT3, a record-breaking Hybrid Hydrogen Rapide S and a close-to-production specification V12 Vantage. See separate stories at www.europeancarweb.com to see how they fared in the race.
