Ken Block fails to finish X Games Brazil

Packing up your team and heading to Brazil is a major undertaking for anybody, even an outfit with the budget of Ken Block's Hoonigan Racing. And having made the trek down south for Global Rallycross at X Games Brazil, you have to imagine he was slightly annoyed to be knocked out of the event in the first 100ft.

Driving his Ford Fiesta ST RX43 and hoping to take the gold, Block's hopes were crushed when hit from behind by Tanner Foust. The collision damaged the suspension on both cars, resulting in their retirement.

Despite the disappointment, Block still claimed the fastest lap prior to qualifying on Saturday morning.

Block does not solely blame the collision on Foust: "That was the absolute worst track I've ever raced on and it's just been a tough weekend here in Brazil."

Hopefully, Block's upcoming Rally America outing on the Oregon Trail Rally on May 3-5 in Hillsboro, OR will give Ken another chance to shine.
