As if the current Aventador LP 700-4 isn't already an insanely fast beast, Automobili Lamborghini is launching a limited edition anniversary edition called the Aventador LP 720-4 50. That's right, it has 20 more horsepower than the current car thanks to a new specific engine calibration, bringing it to an incredible 720 hp. Lambo's fast shifting ISR transmission helps the LP 720-4 50 reach 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds on to a top speed of 217.4 mph.
The most obvious change to the new model is the extremely yellow paint color, which Lamborghini calls Giallo Maggio, or May yellow. This color is actually a tribute to the most preferred color chosen by Lamborghini customers since the Miura and references the Automobili Lamborghini's founding in May 1963.
Although the yellow paint is quite noticeable and exclusive to this car, there are other key features added to make this model unique, as if it needs any help with that. Both the front and rear of the car have been redesigned to further improve aerodynamics. Air intakes in the front and an aerodynamic splitter are enlarged as well as extended with small flaps set into the sides. The rear has been completely redesigned with an enlarged diffuser as well as better engine compartment ventilation due to expansive meshwork. The car also features all the hallmarks of the Aventador model range, with carbon fiber monocoque construction as well as permanent all-wheel drive.
Contrasting the bright yellow are the front, rear and sills that feature a two-tone design in Giallo Maggio and matte black. The rims are also black, but are finished in a high-gloss. But not to worry, this Aventador can be purchased in every imaginable color through the Ad Personam individualization program.
The interior is just as fantastic, finished in fine semi-aniline leather. There is a black combined with brown look that is offered as well as a yellow to match the exterior. But the interior wouldn't be truly unique without exclusive Q-Citura stich, done especially for this model.
Compared to the current Aventador, the LP 720-4 50 has improved handling stability at high speeds, which was improved without sacrificing drag. This is all thanks to an increase of more than 50% in aerodynamic efficiency.
Don't be mistaken, the 6.5 liter V12 Aventador LP 720-4 50 is not just a slightly improved version of the current Aventador LP 700-4, it is a refined, slightly faster, and gorgeous version, while being a limited production anniversary car. But to all the multi-millionaires reading this, we wouldn't wait too long, because this 720 hp raging bull will see limited production numbers of just 100.
