Gymkhana Five wins video award

Toni Avery
May 15, 2013

There can be few people left in the world who haven't watched Ken Block's insane Gymkhana Five video. With its incredibly high production values it will come as no surprise that it received the One Show Interactive Gold Pencil Award in the rather clumsily named category of Online Films and Video/Long Form-Single.

The One Club, which runs the One Show, is an organization that aims to bring awareness of excellence in advertising campaigns. The video competed against several large corporations for the prize, but who can compete with the Gymkhana franchise?

Upon its release, Gymkhana Five received 20 million in its first week. In total, the video has received more than 46 million views, putting it in the top five spots on Mashable's Global Ads Chart for most shared videos.
