X Games LA at Irwindale Speedway

For the first time ever, X Games Los Angeles will host events at the Irwindale Speedway.

Once threatened with closure, Irwindale has been revitalized and will hold events August 1-4. It joins events at the LA Live Staples Center (including skate boarding and Moto X), while Irwindale will host the Ford Gymkhana Grid, among other activities.

Made popular by Ken Block, the Ford Gymkhana Grid will accompany Ford RallyCross. And as you know, Gymkhana consists of cones, tires and barrel obstacles, with the goal to complete the course as quickly as possible.

ESPN and ABC will show a total of 19 hours of live TV from X Games Los Angeles, while an additional 4.5 hours of original content will be available via ESPN networks online.
