Continuing his worldwide rallycross assault,Tanner Foust put himself in a strong position winning the first of the European rallycross races.

He achieved victory at the Lydden Hill circuit in southeast England, backing up another dominant performance only a year prior. Arriving with new sponsors, Eneos Motor Oil and Odyssey Battery, Foust encountered a flat tire in the first of his four qualifying rounds, but managed to recovery to claim victory in the final round.

Commenting on his victory, Foust said: "winning the first race is a great confidence boost, especially against the highly competitive European field. It means that all our homework and fine-tuning over the winter paid off. Now we just have to keep up the momentum."

Tanner now heads to the first round of the Global Rallycross Championship, which will take place at X Games Brazil on April 21 for the first time. The new GRC series will see Foust battle for two major series on three continents as he participates in the 2013 European Rallycross Championship, X Games and Global Rallycross series.
