VW SciroccoStart writing hate mail to VW because it's looking unlikely the new Scirocco will hit North American shores in the near future. Meanwhile, Europeans will be driving the long-awaited Scirocco after the model's 20-year hiatus.
The original concept for this Mk3 Scirocco was presented in 8/06, finished in a stunning lime green. Since then, it's undergone some changes at the hands of VW's chief of design, Walter de Silva, and the production model was finally unveiled at this year's Geneva Motor Show.
It's similar in proportion to the Golf, and will feature three turbo engines from 120- to 197hp. A 138hp TDI is also planned for production. Other highlights include a seven-speed DSG transmission and panoramic sunroof with adjustable sunshade. So why does VWoA feel we don't want this car? Are we the only ones who think it resembles a Peugeot 308?
